Families working with Connected to Foster, a ministry of Arkansas Baptist Children’s Home and Family Ministries, will enjoy the unique blessing of working with our own case worker specific to Cross Church families. This means, NO caseworker turnover and a steady and consistent level of support for you as you walk out your calling in obedience to serving the vulnerable children of Arkansas through foster care.

Are you a current adoptive or foster family?

Cross Church offers ongoing opportunities to build community and receive trauma-informed training and support for families related to foster care and adoption both virtual and in person for every step of your journey.

On campus classes, Bible studies and community building events take place throughout the year.

Respite care provides up to 72 hours of care for children in the foster care system. This ministry provides opportunities for rest, travel and additional training for families currently caring for foster placements in their home.

Families interested in infant adoption through the state of Arkansas will experience personalized training, support and guidance throughout the process. Arkansas Baptist Children’s Home and Family Ministries is proud to be a privately licensed adoption placement agency for residents living in the state.

  • Families who say yes to foster care or adoption through these programs pay absolutely nothing.
  • Families participating in the adoption program through ABCH are asked to serve in temporary foster or respite care as a part of the missional model approach to orphan care.

Other opportunities for permanent adoption placement for children of all ages include a partnership with Project Zero.

Not everyone is called to foster or adopt, but we can all do something. Here at Cross Church, we want to wrap our arms around the vulnerable and those who have answered the call to foster and adopt. If you have a heart to serve foster and adoptive families, you can be an integral part of the personalized support we offer through this ministry.

Ways to support our families will include:

  • Prayer team
  • Meals for families receiving placements
  • Emergent needs for foster parents
  • Involvement in community building activities throughout the year
  • Become a respite family
  • Hold ”Foster Showers”
  • Write notes of encouragement
  • Give gift cards to foster families

At Cross Church we want to care for every family member affected by foster care and adoption. Through our partnership with ABCH, Cross Church is honored to provide advocacy for expectant mothers and mothers working to reunify with their children. We are able to do this through our partnership with Desired Haven, an organization providing support, counseling and advocacy for birth moms in crisis.
