I Love My Church Day I Love My Church Day Feb 14th 2016

Location/Venue: All campuses

I Love My Church Day is coming up on Sunday, February 14. I Love my Church Day has long been a special day in the history of Cross Church. It all started on February 14, 1988, when our Springdale campus hosted a dedication and grand opening celebration for its new worship center – an extraordinary space we still gather in every Sunday morning. At that time, the Springdale campus was home to the largest church worship center in the state of Arkansas! But more importantly, the Lord blessed that space and the Springdale worship center became a special place to celebrate and share Jesus.

I Love My Church Day has become a sweet tradition. Each year we mark one Sunday in February as a day to reflect and rejoice on the many ways God has shown His love and favor towards our growing fellowship. It’s a day for celebrating our love and thankfulness for what God has done locally, regionally, and globally through our church. This year, once again, I Love My Church Day falls on Valentine’s Day, February 14! There is no better day for us all to invite our friends and neighbors to join us at church and experience the love of Christ! We can’t wait to see you on I Love My Church Day, join us for a powerful message from God’s Word, a blessed time of singing, and sweet fellowship.

Tell us why you love Cross Church by posting on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram and use #ILoveCC

Mid-Week for Kids Mid-Week for Kids Feb 17th 2016 - May 11th 2016

Time: 5:45PM to 7:30PM
Coordinator: Heath Bryant

Mid Week for kids meets every Wednesday from 5:45–7:30 p.m.

Mid Week for kids is a combination of AWANA and Music and Motion. Bible study, Scripture memory, games, music, motion and lots of fun!

AwanaAwana is an organization that helps churches and parents raise children and youth to know, love and serve Christ. Awana is the only organization with fully integrated evangelism and discipleship program for children. Your child will be a part of weekly programs and special events that introduce children to Jesus Christ and build a biblical foundation for faith. The $25 cost only covers the registration fee, which will be used in part for your child to purchase store items and awards once they are eligible. Parents will need to purchase a handbook and uniform for their child as they progress throughout the semester, which will be an additional cost. Price varies by club.

Cubbies

Children Age 3 (by 8/1/15 & toilet trained),and K4 AWANA Cubbies Club provides a framework for spiritual training in the home under the supervision of the parents. One handbook, filled with Bible verses and activities for parents to do with their children at home, is completed each year. Club activities include games, puppets, crafts and verses that are said to receive stickers and patches for the Cubbie blue vest. Story Time reinforces the Bible verses being learned.

Sparks

Students K-5 through Grade 2 AWANA Sparks’ handbooks teach basic truths about God, Jesus Christ, salvation and the Bible. A clear and consistent presentation of the Gospel message is made each week. The Bible is presented chronologically and details about Bible characters are told in captivating biographies. Students earn jewels to place in their aviator wings as they complete the three hand-books: HangGlider, WingRunner, and SkyStormer. They will memorize 65 verses within three years. Game Time offers team and individual competitions that are fast-paced and high-energy. The kids love this Game Time.

T and T

Students Grades 3–5 AWANA Clubbers is designed to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and to train them to serve Him. The four handbooks are each built around eight different questions about God, the Bible, salvation and Christian living. Students memorize eight different Bible passages for each question. At the end of the four-year program, students will have memorized 310 Bible verses to receive the cherished Timothy Award (2 Timothy 2:15).

About Spook

William “Spook” Spann was born on Halloween which is how he got the name “Spook”. He was raised in Tennessee and grew up as a fifth generation in the sawmill and timber business. After 30 years of watching his Father and Grandfather improve and develop properties for others, Spook has spent the last 15 years practicing what he has learned through the family business. By following his passion for the outdoors, Spook has built a business of buying, selling and improving property. His extensive knowledge of wildlife habitat and management has come not only from the forty years experience with his family, but with a close friend at his side, nationally known biologist, Grant Woods.

Spook’s success in the whitetail world has been a true blessing. In fact, Spook's success is unprecedented. To date, he has harvested 25+ Pope & Young whitetails and 12 Boone & Crockett whitetails. Many of his hunting successes were accomplished on his own properties (Spook Nation Farms). He has harvested over 20 different big game animals around the world. His best season came in 2012 when he harvested an astounding three 200"+ whitetails on film and two other whitetails scoring more than 180 and 160!

Spook lives in the same small town where he grew up hunting and fishing near Nashville. He married his college sweetheart, Marty, in 1985 and they're raising their two kids Cassie and Coleman with the same love of God and the great outdoors that Spook has always known.

Jesus told us we are children of light in His Word. In Ephesians 5:8 Paul writes, "For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light ..." (NKJ)

Our story is about four Light Runners who are given the space-mission of a lifetime; to save the universe from impending doom. They must journey across the galaxy in search of a mysterious Star Particle. On their journey, they find out what they are made of and who the enemy really is.

Online registration is for credit or debit card payments only. If you are registering with cash/check or applying for a scholarship, you must come to the Cross Kidz offices to fill out a paper registration form.
