America: Past, Present, Future America: Past, Present, Future Jul 3rd 2016

Location/Venue: All Campuses

Join us Sunday, July 3 for our annual Summer Freedom Celebration. So many have sacrificed so much for the freedoms we all enjoy in this great nation God has given us. We will give honor to those who have served and are serving still today. All services will be filled with spiritual and patriotic songs that will warm the heart followed by a dynamic message about our nation. We will also be welcoming special guest Tony Perkins, President of the Family Research Council. You do not want to miss this!

Tony PerkinsSpecial Guest, Tony Perkins

President of Family Research Council

Tony Perkins is Family Research Council’s fourth and longest serving president, joining the organization in August 2003. Described as a legislative pioneer by the national media, Perkins has established himself as an innovative pro-life and pro-family policy and political leader since first being elected to office in 1996. He authored and passed the nation's first Covenant Marriage law in 1997, which captured the attention of policymakers across the country.

While in the Legislature, he authored numerous other policy initiatives, including:

  • State Family Impact Statement, requiring state agencies to consider the impact of rules and regulations on families;
  • Comprehensive Abortion Clinic regulations;
  • Genetic Non-discrimination Act;
  • Public School Internet Filtering requirement; and
  • Expansion of Louisiana Department of Corrections partnership with faith-based organizations to reduce recidivism rates.

During his tenure as FRC’s president, Perkins has substantially deepened the organization’s influence on Capitol Hill and throughout the country by building a major network of pastors and churches, encouraging them to impact the culture by thinking nationally, but acting locally.

An effective communicator, Mr. Perkins is the host of a daily, nationally syndicated radio show, Washington Watch with Tony Perkins. He is the author of No Fear: Real Stories of a Courageous New Generation Standing for Truth.

Fireworks & Baptism at the Crosses Fireworks & Baptism at the Crosses Jul 3rd 2016

Location/Venue: Pinnacle Hills Campus
Time: 5:00PM to 10:00PM

Join us for the 9th Annual Fireworks at the Crosses at our Pinnacle Hills Campus. Invite your friends and family to join our entire Cross Church family on July 3. We will have a patriotic celebration featuring live music, outdoor baptisms, and fireworks. Check back soon for more information about food and drinks we will have for purchase.

Baptism at the Crosses

On Sunday, July 3, we celebrate our country’s independence here at Cross Church on the Pinnacle Hills Campus. Fireworks at the Crosses will be a special time of worship and celebration; and I want to invite you to be a part of it. One way you can join me is by following the Lord in believer’s baptism.

There are several reasons why it is so important to be baptized, including:

  • The Lord Jesus commands it of all who belong to Him (Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38, 41)
  • Christ Himself showed the importance of baptism through His example; and God the Father audibly commended Him for it. (Matthew 3:13-17)
  • Salvation is a life-long journey with Christ, and although baptism does not save us, it is the essential first step in that journey.
  • Baptism is also a public testimony before others about what Jesus has done for you and an important way you can visibly align yourself with Him as your Lord and Savior.
  • Finally, baptism is an essential part of the membership process at Cross Church.

On the evening of the 3rd, all five campuses will come together for outdoor festivities on the Pinnacle Hills grounds. Before the fireworks start, we will have an opportunity for our people to be baptized outdoors under the crosses. Pastor Ronnie Floyd will be performing the baptisms that night.

We would love for you to be a part of this exciting Summer Freedom celebration if you have trusted Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, and

  • You have not yet been baptized, or
  • You were baptized by a method other than immersion in water (i.e., sprinkling), or
  • You were baptized before you placed faith in Jesus as your Savior (e.g., infant baptism, etc.)

You will experience true joy when you obey your Lord’s command to be baptized, and what better way to celebrate our country’s independence than by celebrating the freedom only Christ can give us!

We will meet in the Worship Center at Cross Church Pinnacle Hills at 6:30 p.m. to go over instructions prior to the beginning of the Baptisms.

If you have any questions or hesitations about proceeding for any reason, or would like to be baptized under the crosses on July 3, please contact:

Friday Night Out - PH Friday Night Out - PH Jul 8th 2016

Time: 6:00PM to 9:30PM
Coordinator: Robyn Brooks

FNO is for children birth – 5th grade.

This is an opportunity for parents to re-connect with each other on Friday nights. Participate in a Small Group the weeks prior to the Friday Night Out date desired to receive a voucher for childcare. Childcare is provided to individuals with children fifth grade or younger between the hours of 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Follow the instructions on your voucher to register your children. Registrations must be in by midnight the Wednesday prior. Sorry, no exceptions to the rules!

With the rising costs associated with this ministry we have made the decision to charge a very small fee to reduce cost overages. This new fee will be $10 for the entire evening, per family, whether you have one child or multiple children.This means for $10 your family receives childcare from 6:00-9:30 p.m.

It is our desire to be the very best stewards we can with what God has given to us. This change will allow us to continue to offer this great opportunity to small group participants while still offering an incredible value when compared to the childcare alternatives out there today.

If you have any questions prior to registering, please email Robyn Brooks at the Pinnacle Hills Campus.
