Hey Lovely Ladies, Please Join us for an evening of fellowship, worship and a time of refreshing. Gather at The Table is a dinner event designed for the purpose of gathering the women of Cross Church together for one night and for one purpose...unity, prayer and encouragement in the faith. It is good to come together as women so that we can love, encourage and share with one another what is going on in our lives. Sometimes it is just necessary for some good ole girl time. Can I get an amen!! Cost of the event is $10.00.

Child Care Needs? We would love to give our Preschool Ministry workers an opportunity to attend this event but also provide child care for our single moms. Therefore, child care will be limited. If you are a single mom and need child care for you children ages birth - 5th grade, please register.

Mid Week for kids is a combination of AWANA and Music and Motion. Bible study, Scripture memory, games, music, motion and lots of fun!

Music and Motion is a FREE option for your kids to participate in, but is not mandatory. For those that are not participating in Music and Motion, Awana begins at 6:00 p.m. Please do not drop off your children before then.

There is a $25 registration fee per child to participate in AWANA. Join us on August 31 for AWANA Supply Night! We will be giving 20% off all supplies on this one night from 6:00-7:30 p.m. On September 7, we will be kicking our semester off!


AwanaAwana is an organization that helps churches and parents raise children and youth to know, love and serve Christ. Awana is the only organization with fully integrated evangelism and discipleship program for children. Your child will be a part of weekly programs and special events that introduce children to Jesus Christ and build a biblical foundation for faith. The $25 cost only covers the registration fee, which will be used in part for your child to purchase store items and awards once they are eligible. Parents will need to purchase a handbook and uniform for their child as they progress throughout the semester, which will be an additional cost. Price varies by club. 

Cubbies

Children Age 3 (by 8/1/16 & toilet trained),and K4 AWANA Cubbies Club provides a framework for spiritual training in the home under the supervision of the parents. One handbook, filled with Bible verses and activities for parents to do with their children at home, is completed each year. Club activities include games, puppets, crafts and verses that are said to receive stickers and patches for the Cubbie blue vest. Story Time reinforces the Bible verses being learned.

Sparks

Students K-5 through Grade 2 AWANA Sparks’ handbooks teach basic truths about God, Jesus Christ, salvation and the Bible. A clear and consistent presentation of the Gospel message is made each week. The Bible is presented chronologically and details about Bible characters are told in captivating biographies. Students earn jewels to place in their aviator wings as they complete the three hand-books: HangGlider, WingRunner, and SkyStormer. They will memorize 65 verses within three years. Game Time offers team and individual competitions that are fast-paced and high-energy. The kids love this Game Time.

T and T

Students Grades 3–5 AWANA Clubbers is designed to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and to train them to serve Him. The four handbooks are each built around eight different questions about God, the Bible, salvation and Christian living. Students memorize eight different Bible passages for each question. At the end of the four-year program, students will have memorized 310 Bible verses to receive the cherished Timothy Award (2 Timothy 2:15).

Ladies, come unwind from your hectic week with a time of fellowship and devotion together. Ladies Night Out happens the first Thursday of every month with dessert, coffee, and a girls only atmosphere. Come join other ladies from Cross Church, bring a friend along, and let's fellowship and grow together!

Fantasy Football Draft Night is an incredible way to connect the men of Cross Church to one another through sports. God can use even Fantasy Football to draw men unto himself! All participants must attend the draft.

Incoming kindergartners are invited to join us for Bible Presentation on Sunday September 4th prior to the 10:00 am service. You and your child will be introduced and given a new children's Bible by our Children's Pastor, Nick Bethea.

rEcess is a monthly respite program for parents of children with special needs. Volunteers provide one-to-one attention for children with special needs. Siblings are also invited to participate in the "sibling track" which provides them with their own exciting activities. The program allows parents a night off so they can do whatever they want or need. Our volunteers strive to get to know the families and look forward to these times.

Mom App is a gathering for moms to enjoy and learn about all stages of motherhood from colic to college. We meet monthly for food, fun, and lively discussion. This event is free to attend. Lunch ($6)/Dinner ($10) may be purchased or you may bring your own lunch/dinner with you. Preschool Ministry is available upon registration. Please send a lunch/dinner with your child. No peanut products, please.

The day to travel viewing the Arch at St. Louis as we pass by on to Corydon, IN.

Louisville Bat Company & Kentucky Derby Museum

Wow! The World’s Biggest Bat! Made of steel, it weighs 68,000 pounds and stands 120-feet tall. The Big Bat is an exact-scale replica of Babe Ruth’s 34-inch Louisville Slugger bat.

Noah's Ark Encounter in Williamsburg, Kentucky

Experience the life-size Noah’s Ark! Ark Encounter is a one-of-a-kind attraction.

DAY 4 – Saturday, October 1

West Virgina

Off we go to the Wild Wonderful West Virginia possible stops at a glass factory, or the state capital.

DAY 5 – Sunday, October 2

Hawk's Nest State Park, New River Gorge Bridge

We will visit Hawk’s Nest State Park and take a Jet Boat ride on the New River. The New River Gorge Bridge is one of the most photographed places in West Virginia. In 2013, the National Park Service listed the New River Gorge Bridge in the National Register of Historic Places as a signi cant historic resource.

DAY 6 – Monday, October 3

Coal Mine Expedition

We will head south to Charlotte, NC via a visit to a Coal Mine Museum & take a ride in a coal car. The hands-on exhibitions and underground coal mining tour o er wonderful opportunities for visitors to learn, explore, interact and share.

DAY 7 – Tuesday, October 4

Billy Graham Library & Nascar Hall of Fame

The Billy Graham Library is one of the Carolina’s top tourist attractions. The library allows visitors to delve into the story of his life and relive historic moments through multimedia exhibits,  lms and memorabilia. Highlights include the restored Graham family home and the Memorial Prayer Garden.

DAY 8 – Wednesday, October 5

Blue Ridge Parkway to Ashville, NC

We will be shopping (a little) as we travel the Blue Ridge Parkway to Ashville, NC.

DAY 9 – Thursday, October 6

Biltmore Mansion

George W. Vanderbilt’s iconic French Renaissance château features 250 rooms, lavish gardens & tours, The Biltmore Ashville, NC. The home included many labor-saving devices unavailable to the general public at the end of the 19th century, such as electric elevators and lights and central hot water. He traveled the world acquiring art and other treasures for the house, and visitors will see— in addition to Vanderbilt family china, crystal and 16th century tapestries.

DAY 10 – Friday, October 7

Grand Ole Opry

Grand Ole Opry shows are performed in the Grand Ole Opry House for most of the year. Since 1925, country’s best have mesmerized audiences at the Opry, the live radio show that made country music famous. While performances from both legendary entertainers and the latest country music acts are the norm. You’ll also enjoy bluegrass bands, comedians and gospel artists.
