Cross Church of Northwest Arkansas invites you to attend the 2014 NWA Women’s Conference "The Best Yes", on August 24, at our Pinnacle Hills Campus in Rogers, Arkansas. This year’s conference will feature Lysa TerKeurst, New York Times Best-selling Author and President of Proverbs 31 Ministries. Lysa is learning that there is a big difference between saying yes to everyone and saying yes to God. In “The Best Yes”, she will help you:

  • Cure the disease to please with a Biblical understanding of the command to love.
  • Escape the guilt of disappointing others by learning the secret of the small no.
  • Overcome the agony of hard choices by embracing a wisdom-based decision-making process.
  • Rise above the rush of endless demands and discover your best yes today.

Conference Price

Adults - $25
Students (thru college) - $10

LysaAbout Lysa

Only 1% of books ever sell over 100,000. Yet Lysa’s last four books have done that. Lysa TerKeurst is the New York Times best-selling author of Made to Crave and Unglued as well as 15 other titles. As president of Proverbs 31 Ministries, Lysa and her team saw over 4,000 women make a personal commitment to Jesus last year. They reach nearly 700,000 women daily through their online devotion, Encouragement for Today, and thousands more through the Proverbs 31 radio program playing on 1,200 radio outlets daily. In addition to speaking at Catalyst and Women of Faith, she accepts a limited number of speaking engagements at churches where she is passionate about helping women connect the messy parts of life with the miraculous hope of God. She lives in North Carolina with her husband, Art, their five kids, three dogs and a mouse that refuses to leave her kitchen.

Friday Night Out - FAY Friday Night Out - FAY Sep 5th 2014 - Dec 5th 2014

Time: 6:00PM to 9:30PM
Coordinator: Jill Langham

This is an opportunity for parents to re-connect with each other on Friday nights. Participate in a Small Group the weeks prior to the Friday Night Out date desired to receive a voucher for childcare. Childcare is provided to individuals with children fifth grade or younger between the hours of 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Follow the instructions on your voucher to register your children. Registrations must be in by midnight the Wednesday prior. Sorry, no exceptions to the rules!

With the rising costs associated with this ministry we have made the decision to charge a very small fee to reduce cost overages. This new fee will be $10 for the entire evening, per family, whether you have one child or multiple children. This means for $10 your family receives childcare from 6:00-9:30 p.m.

It is our desire to be the very best stewards we can with what God has given to us. This change will allow us to continue to offer this great opportunity to small group participants while still offering an incredible value when compared to the childcare alternatives out there today.

If you have any questions prior to registering, please email Jill Langham at the Fayetteville Campus.

You will also have time to browse around charming village greeny then drive through Bantry and Glengarriff, which is renowned for sheltered bays where sub-tropical plants flourish. Cross the Caha to Kenmare and on to Moll’s Gap for views of Killarney’s lakes and mountains.

Your day begins with a rollicking good adventure when you step into a tradition- al Irish jaunting car. Once aboard, traverse the wild Gap of Dunloe. Marvel at the red sandstone cliffs, narrow road and gorgeous lake views as you make your way through this glaciated valley to Killarney National Park. Then visit Muckross House, the Folk Mu- seum & Gardens. We will drive through the Killarney Lake District. Departing Killarney we will take a short drive to KILLORGIN on Dingle Bay, the setting for “Ryan’s Daughter.” At the east end of the peninsula we will find Macgillicuddy’s Reeks towering above the Killarney lakes and see the “Ring of Kerry”, which runs around the peninsula, keeping close to the coastline most of the way. In County Kerry we will pass through scenery of plunging cliffs and spectacular lakes, between granite mountains beaches. After Killorgin (of Puck Fair fame), the route passes Daniel O’Connell’s CAHIRCIVEEN, the fishing village of WATERVILLE and MOLL’S GAP in the heart of the Black Mountains.

Near the end of our circuit, we will arrive in the attractive town of KENMARE at the head of Kenmare Bay, founded by William Petty in 1670. One of Ireland’s most impressive stone circles, the Druid’s Circle, is on the left bank of the river Finnehy near the site of an ancient Abbey in Kenmare.

Picturesque Adare Manor stands on the northern edge of town. Next will be a journey to the stunning, 700-foot- high Cliffs of Moher where awe-inspiring views reveal the mighty Atlantic and the Aran Islands below. Then, travel through the Burren – a vast limestone landscape known for its stark beauty and Neolithic tombs. Upon arriving in Limerick, view the mighty King John’s Castle, a 13th century pentagonal fortress with a main block, three round corner towers, a bastion and a two-story gatehouse. In Old Irish Town, St. John’s Cathedral has the tallest tower in Ireland (280 feet). Finally on this day, step inside the beautiful Bunratty Castle for an exciting Medieval Banquet. Traditional song and dance set the scene as you enjoy this unforgettable adventure during a four-course meal.

The Irish National Stud’s Japanese Gardens, renowned throughout the world and the finest of their kind in Europe, will be a delightful treat for the eyes. The gardens were created between 1906 and 1910. Among the most beloved of all Ireland’s gardens, the Irish National Stud’s Japanese Gardens are a veritable feast for the eyes and ears to behold. See the sights and hear the sounds of trickling streams perfectly complementing the greenery and vivid colors that provide a tranquil backdrop to the beautiful Bridge of Life and Tea House. Dinner will be in Dublin. You may wish to take a walk at dusk around one of the fine Georgian Squares as lights illuminate the decorated plaster ceilings.
