With an exciting new center-designed format for Pre-XLR8 this year, I am really looking forward to having your kiddos with us on Wednesday nights.

Location/Venue: Fellowship Gym
Time: 6:30PM to 8:00PM

Awana meets every Wednesday from 6:30–8:00 p.m.

Parents, we are now offering Awana for your children, 3 years old-5th grade! Awana meets weekly on Wednesday nights and is an organization that helps churches and parents raise children and youth to know, love and serve Christ. Awana is the only organization with fully integrated evangelism and discipleship program for children. Your child will be a part of weekly programs and special events that introduce children to Jesus Christ and build a biblical foundation for faith. The $25 cost only covers the registration fee, which will be used in part for your child to purchase store items and awards once they are eligible. Parents will need to purchase a handbook and uniform for their child as they progress throughout the semester, which will be an additional cost. Price varies by club.

Cubbies

Children Age 3 (by 8/1/12 & toilet trained),and K4 AWANA Cubbies Club provides a framework for spiritual training in the home under the supervision of the parents. One handbook, filled with Bible verses and activities for parents to do with their children at home, is completed each year. Club activities include games, puppets, crafts and verses that are said to receive stickers and patches for the Cubbie blue vest. Story Time reinforces the Bible verses being learned.

Sparks

Students K-5 through Grade 2 AWANA Sparks’ handbooks teach basic truths about God, Jesus Christ, salvation and the Bible. A clear and consistent presentation of the Gospel message is made each week. The Bible is presented chronologically and details about Bible characters are told in captivating biographies. Students earn jewels to place in their aviator wings as they complete the three hand-books: HangGlider, WingRunner, and SkyStormer. They will memorize 65 verses within three years. Game Time offers team and individual competitions that are fast-paced and high-energy. The kids love this Game Time.

T and T

Students Grades 3–5 AWANA Clubbers is designed to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and to train them to serve Him. The four handbooks are each built around eight different questions about God, the Bible, salvation and Christian living. Students memorize eight different Bible passages for each question. At the end of the four-year program, students will have memorized 310 Bible verses to receive the cherished Timothy Award (2 Timothy 2:15).

The Summit The Summit Oct 23rd 2014 - Dec 4th 2014

Location/Venue: Pinnacle Hills - Gatheria

The Summit began in September 2001 out of Dr. Ronnie Floyd’s desire to dramatically impact the business culture of Northwest Arkansas. Dr. Floyd, the Senior Pastor of Cross Church, desired to provide a weekly luncheon that would motivate, inspire and challenge business professionals to make the climb in the business world. His heart for the area coupled with his passion for leadership led him to teach principles that could literally change your future over lunch.

Since its inception, The Summit has become a premier place for connection, equipping and fellowship. Hundreds of business leaders from across our region come weekly to be equipped to make the climb in the business world. Today, the focus and format is the same however Dr. Floyd does not speak every week like he did in early years. Instead he invites significant leaders from around the country to share insights that could transform your career.

Friday Night Out - PH Friday Night Out - PH Oct 24th 2014 - Dec 5th 2014

Time: 6:00PM to 9:30PM
Coordinator: Robyn Brooks

FNO is for children birth – 5th grade.

This is an opportunity for parents to re-connect with each other on Friday nights. Participate in a Small Group the weeks prior to the Friday Night Out date desired to receive a voucher for childcare. Childcare is provided to individuals with children fifth grade or younger between the hours of 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Follow the instructions on your voucher to register your children. Registrations must be in by midnight the Wednesday prior. Sorry, no exceptions to the rules!

With the rising costs associated with this ministry we have made the decision to charge a very small fee to reduce cost overages. This new fee will be $10 for the entire evening, per family, whether you have one child or multiple children. This means for $10 your family receives childcare from 6:00-9:30 p.m.

It is our desire to be the very best stewards we can with what God has given to us. This change will allow us to continue to offer this great opportunity to small group participants while still offering an incredible value when compared to the childcare alternatives out there today.

If you have any questions prior to registering, please email Robyn Brooks at the Pinnacle Hills Campus.

I'll Be 1 I'll Be 1 Oct 26th 2014

Location/Venue: All Campuses

1 Day: Sunday, October 26

1 Place: Cross Church

1 Heart: Obeying God with all my Church

Sunday, October 26, will prove to be a dynamic and memorable day in the life of Cross Church. All five of our campus locations will host I’ll Be 1 services and special events. Join us for a powerful time of praise and worship and a Gospel-driven message.

So, what does I’ll Be 1 signify?

I’ll Be 1 is 1 day to gather your family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors in 1 place and with 1 heart. This is a day to personally commit to being present, both physically and spiritually, in a Cross Church worship service. Additionally, this is a time for us, the Cross Church family, to invite people to join us for worship and ask the Lord to work powerfully within our church and among our people.

How do I commit to be here on October 26?

  • Text BE1SD to 24587 to commit to Springdale Campus.
  • Text BE1PH to 24587 to commit to Pinnacle Hills Campus.
  • Text BE1FAY to 24587 to commit to Fayetteville Campus.
  • Text BE1CA to 24587 to commit to College Avenue Campus.
  • Text BE1NEO to 24587 to commit to Neosho Campus.

As a church family, pray for three things in anticipation of I’ll Be 1 day:

1. Lord Jesus, as your people gather on 1 day, at 1 place, with 1 heart, may this be the day when You bring forth a mighty spiritual revival and awakening to Cross Church.

2. Lord Jesus, present each of us with someone to invite to church on this special day.

3. Lord Jesus, explode Your church on this special day and may we all sense Your presence upon us.

"At the same time, God's hand was on the people
in the land...
giving them one heart to obey."
2 Chronicles 30:12

Guest Speaker — Naghmeh Abedini

We will be having special guest speaker Naghmeh Abedini at our Springdale and Pinnacle Hills campuses on Sunday, October 26. Naghmeh is the wife of Pastor Saeed Abedini who has been in an Iranian jail for over two years. Saeed was imprisoned in September 2012 after traveling to Iran to work on a children's orphanage. He was then sentenced to eight years in prison for threatening national security, according to Iranian authorities. Saeed and his wife Naghmeh have two children, 6-year-old Jacob and eight-year-old Rebekka.

President Obama has called on Iranian President Hassan Rouhani regarding Pastor Saeed, and Secretary of State John Kerry has called for the American pastor’s release. Time is of the essence, as while in prison Saeed faces physical torture, malnourishment, death threats and psychological abuse at the hands of the Iranian regime and fellow inmates.

This past September, Naghmeh prayed outside the White House to mark the two-year anniversary of her husband's imprisonment and to urge President Obama to do more to help. Also recognizing the second anniversary of Saeed’s imprisonment was community and church led prayer vigils in 493 cities in over 33 countries.

Throughout this period of waiting, Naghmeh has reiterated that Saeed’s strength remains in Jesus Christ. Even from prison the pastor has seen many give their hearts to Christ.
