• May 27: Dr. Charles Lowery will be doing a two-message series on “Facing Fear.” Dr. Lowery is always one of our favorite speakers here at Cross Church.
• June 3: Dr. Charles Lowery will be preaching on the subject of “Facing Fear.”
• June 10: Dr. Ed Hindson will be preaching the “Entire Book of Revelation in Two Sundays.” Dr. Hindson is a scholar who specializes in biblical prophecy, leading prophecy conferences nationally with Dr. Tim LaHaye and Dr. Gary Frazier. He serves as the Vice-Chancellor of Liberty University and is always one of the students’ favorites to hear on campus.
• June 17: Dr. Ed Hindson will be preaching the “Entire Book of Revelation in Two Sundays.”

We want to encourage each of you in our church family to use this time to engage fully into the life of our church in weekly worship and in the ministries of our church. Not sure why the pieces of your life don’t seem to fit together?

Starting Sunday, April 15 Pastors Ronnie and Nick Floyd will unpack the truth behind the pieces of our life that won’t go together. The underlying promise is that God is working all things together for our good, shaping us into the image of Christ. Come back Sunday to hear part one of this timely series.

Recently our Pastor, Dr. Ronnie Floyd, visited the Southwestern Baptist Theological seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He gave a powerful speech about the importance of a dedicated, consistent prayer life. He also backed up his unwavering commitment to spread the Good News of the Gospel by gifting their Revive The Nation ministry $25,000 for the cause of sending students and staff preachers to lead revivals in churches across America. Revive the Nation took place March 11-14.

Through this ministry that Cross Church has invested in, there were 102 preachers consisting of both students and faculty that held revival meetings across 37 states from Hawaii to New York. Through distributing 885 tracts and Bibles, 277 people made public responses and new membership rose by 30 people. These disciples of the Gospel led 1129 one-on-one evangelistic encounters and 131 people were saved!

5/13/12 Fayetteville AM

- Compassion Center – 1 Profession of Faith. New florescent lights installed. Two local Laundromats have volunteered to wash all the donated clothes. ESL continuing with 19 participants, cooking class had 11 participants and job prep had 2 participants. Donations are still coming in and we had 165 volunteers last week during Spring Break.

- Send Me – 750 registered to go on mission trips, 600 trained to go, 261 have gone with 13 different teams, in 9 different places, over 2000 Professions of Faith.

- Esther’s House reports – recognized 9 of the children from the community for perfect attendance for the past 6 months, hired a new tutor for the campus, and the renovation on the kitchen is progressing. It will be a blessing to move all the cooking from outdoors over a wood fire to indoors to a nice kitchen.

- Haiti Mission Teams – report in Jan – 3 baptized, Feb – 23 weddings, March – medical team saw 30 Professions of Faith, Living Hope Baptist church team saw 21 Professions of Faith, and they have been working with 8 different churches. Last week baptized 13, many from the weddings.

- Brazil Mission Team – 1 church plant and 295 Professions of Faith

- Yucatan Mission Team – reports that God is changing lives through Send Me, had 32 Professions of Faith

- Indianapolis Motion Mission Team – 57 Professions of Faith

- Shiloh GME Team to Dominican Republic – 214 Professions of Faith

- Russian Church Plant – Slava reports that they had 60+ in their worship service Sunday with visitors from Alabama and Georgia. During our Thursday evangelism time we visited Brighton Beach and talked to 40+ people.

- CrossTies Cowboy Church – touched the lives of 50 people last week, 24 in worship, 10 at Celebrate Recovery Bible study and then 16 at Wednesday night bible study. They are video taping their services and posting them on You Tube.

- Marshall Island Report – 150 Professions of Faith from the showing of the Marshallese Jesus Film, partnering with 6 other churches. This Easter the film will be shown in Majaro and coverage will be the whole island of between 25,000 and 30,000.

General Missions

- Parson Hills Ministry Center – Marshallese bible study had 16 attendees

- IMPACT/Radical – held first of 12 events for this year. Great attendance with several decisions being made. We were able to provide a meal and clothing to several residents at Double Tree. Had over 80 students from Camp Siloam leadIMPACT clubs this week. They led in worship, re-enactment of bible story, shared personal testimony along with prayer walking.

- Cross Compassion – ministered to 17 individuals

- Jail Ministry – 12 years ago WCLEJC began with over 4,000 having prayed to receive Christ, 180,000 ministry visits, and as of August 2011 have baptized 227 individuals.

- Summit Church Denver – Lead Pastor Bryan Barley reports membership has grown to over 60 covenant members and this past Sunday, they had over 100 people at their Sunday night gather for the first time. In two weeks they will plant their 7th City Group, meaning that we will now have a presence in seven different neighborhoods in the city.

3/4/12 Living From the Inside Out: A Principle to Live By

- Compassion Center – 57 volunteers last week. Wall went up to allow access to the bathrooms from the life skills side without access to the retail side. New Spanish work to start mid March. Brad speaking at the Parson Hills Elementary parent group this Tuesday, Compassion Center to host the NWA Re-Entry Coalition Tuesday at 10:00am and Salon Ministry will be this Saturday and next Monday.

- Cross Compassion has ministered to 367 individuals and has seen 26 decisions since moving into the Compassion Center.

- Joy House (Haiti) – 13 couples have been discipled and they were married, went from co-habitation to marriage.

- Soma Church Indianapolis – hosted their first vision/information meeting, 24 people showed up for the meeting. At the conclusion of our time together, 7 people indicated they were ready to join our launch team, which now brings us to a total of 12 that have signed our Launch Team Covenant.

- Slava Kovalenko (Russian Church Plant in NYC) – Russian Jewish unbeliever came to Sunday evening meeting in Manhattan, presented the gospel to her, pray the Lord will grow the seed of the Gospel message in her heart.

General Missions

- Jail Ministry – 3 baptisms and 7 Professions of Faith

IMPACT

- Applegate (1 Profession of Faith) older sibling led younger sibling to Christ
- Washington Plaza – High school student made a decision, there was evidence of conviction and repentance.
- Parson Hills – Launch dates being set for new Spanish, Marshallese, and Ladies of Grace bible studies.

- Parson Hills Elementary School asked Cross Church to participate in “Partners in Education”, God has given us favor with Parson Hills.

- Compassion Center – Staff were able to pray with 10 customers last week. Job Skills Training scheduled for January 21 and 28th, Salon Ministry will start the first week in March, 66 volunteers last week with 29 on Saturday. Donations and sales continuing to increase.

- Send Me – 612 people registered, 326 trained, 1212 Professions of Faith so far in 2012, and 267 participants on 13 different teams through the first quarter of the year.

- Crossing Cultures – Tim Fortescue – new church plant partnership in California to reach the Muslim people groups. I have been prayer walking in the Yemeni community of San Francisco, last week I was able to meet and help two Yemeni brothers, one is a believer, the other one is not but seems open.

- LifeHouse Church – Mark Lashey – new church plant partnership in Delaware, reports amazing launch Sunday with eight people saved!

- CrossTies Cowboy Church – Joseph Wilkerson – new church plant partnership in Kansas, OK, reports ministered to 14 people last month in the Friday night Bible Study, teaching on the “Principles of Celebrate Recover”. The initial Sunday Morning Worship service is scheduled for March 4th at 10:00 am.

General Missions

- Jail Ministry – 4 baptisms
Chaplain Adams reports – I baptized a man tonight who had a strange tattoo on his arm. I looked at the tattoo closely. I see all kinds of tattoos at the jail. However, I have never seen one like this. So, after I baptized him, I asked him about his tattoo. He said, “I am ashamed to tell you what it is. It is the devil and demons tearing pages out of the Bible. I plan to get it off my arm when I get to the free world. I’m a different man now,” I gave him a new Bible and a Baptismal Certificate. In addition, I gave him a brochure Pastor Ronnie has written. It is A Guide for New Christians. AMAZING!

Fayetteville Campus

We celebrated our first anniversary at the Fayetteville Campus on Sunday, January 15! I am so pleased with what God is doing on that campus. Here is an update: 340 professions of faith, 263 baptisms, 584 new members, and an average attendance of 1,411. Praise be to God!

2012 is a big year for the Gospel. “Send Me 2012” has begun!
Our goal is to mobilize at least 1,000 of our people to go on a mission endeavor outside of Northwest Arkansas, somewhere in North America, or around the world. In the first quarter of this year, Jeana and I will be in the Dominican Republic in January and Brazil in March. Come go with us. Obviously, two international trips in one quarter will not be easy, but we really want to help set the pace for the rest of the year. Find your time of the year. Find God’s place for you. Go! Whether it is for a long weekend somewhere in North America or for a week to ten days in North America or somewhere around the world, just go! “I Love My Church” Day

Please join us on Sunday, February 19 for “I LOVE MY CHURCH” DAY. Since 1988, we have celebrated this historic day together, and I want you to join us in celebrating it in the year 2012. Have you ever wondered about the significance of this day in February? The miracle of First Baptist Church of Springdale (which became Cross Church in 2010) began on February 19, 1870, and we also moved into our new Worship Center (which is the current location) on February 14, 1988. My dear friends, be on your campus on February 19, show your love for Jesus’ church with your presence, and bring others with you. NWA Men’s Conference

The 2012 NWA Men’s Conference will be held on February 24–25 at our Pinnacle Hills Campus. The cost is $30 for adults and $15 for all students (including college). On Friday night, we will begin with dinner at 6 p.m. and the sessions will begin at 6:45 p.m. On Saturday morning, breakfast will begin at 7 a.m. and the sessions will begin at 7:45 a.m. Nick and I will be speaking, along with Dr. Michael Catt and Dr. Fred Luter. Michael Catt has been senior pastor of Sherwood Baptist Church since 1989. The church has 3,000 members and reaches across five counties and 29 communities, with members from all races and eleven nations. He is also an author and the Executive Producer of Sherwood Pictures, which has produced Facing the Giants, Fireproof, and Courageous. Dr. Luter is the Senior Pastor of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church. Under his vision and leadership, the church has grown from a membership of 65 members to its current membership of 7,000 plus worshippers. You will enjoy hearing Dr. Luter. Plus, our very own Cross Church Worship Team, under the leadership of Julio Arriola, will be leading us for this wonderful weekend. Mark your calendar— you don’t want to miss this!
