Through our Pastoral staff, we offer individual and family support from a Christ-centered perspective. Our Pastors are trained in the skills of listening, clarifying and goal-setting, all undertaken through prayerful submission to the leading of God. The strength of our ministry rests in the power and knowledge of the Wonderful Counselor, the Holy Spirit, as He works in and through our lives according to His Word. We offer an array of professional counseling through an onsite licensed, professional counselor and through the CARE Clinic of John Brown University. While everyone has problems, most of them are successfully resolved without the help of outside resources. There are times, however, when a problem comes along that becomes too much for an individual or family to handle on their own. In these instances, people sometimes seek help from counselors or other professionals to help them work through a difficult situation or a particular problem. To help with the counseling needs of our members and those in the community who do not need the experience of a professional counselor, we have partnered with the CARE Clinic to provide Christian counseling services at our church campus. The CARE Clinic, which is part of the Graduate Counseling Department at John Brown University, offers a variety of counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults. Services are offered by licensed counselors and graduate counseling interns who are in the final stages of their counseling program. Services focus on treating a variety of issues, including but not limited to:
- Relationship problems
- Grief and loss
- Addictive disorders
- Anger management
- Stress management
- Attention-deficit and disruptive behavior disorders
- Sexual and physical abuse
- Divorce recovery
- Other life adjustment issues
